  1. 4 cups White rice
  2. 1/2 cup cooked white rice
  3. 1/4 cup sugar or less
  4. 4 TBS nono or Yoghurt
  5. 1 TBS yeast
  6. 1/2 tsp baking powder
  7. Potash water as required
  8. to taste Salt

Steps to make to make Sinasir

  1. Wash and soak rice for not more than 6 hrs.
  2. Add cooled cooked rice to the soaked rice and grind into smooth runny paste.
  3. Add yeast and yoghurt to the paste and stir.
  4. Cover and allow to rise overnight or few hours.
  5. Then add salt, sugar,baking powder and potash. Mix thoroughly and adjust to taste(if still sour add some more potash). The consistency of the paste should be thinner than masa. Then cover and allow to rest for few minutes.
  6. The mixture should be frothy and pour able consistency. Then heat non stick pan and brush with oil. Pour the mixture into the pan and cover. Allow to cook under medium low heat without flipping, then remove and serve.
