- 1 cup broken basmati rice
- 1/2 cup split green dal
- 1/2 cup ghee
- 2 table spoon ginger slices
- 1 big tomato
- 1 cup mix veggies like peas carrot capsicum mushroom
- 1 tea spoon jeera
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli,
- As taste salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Coriander leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder

- Wash & soaked rice & dal together for 1 hour. After that take cooker add ghee roast jeera & ginger.
- Now add chopped veggies & tomato, roast them add salt & chilli. Now add soaked dal rice & roast it for 3 to 4 min. Clove, garam masala & water add in it. Water quantity should be double of soaked rice dal.
- Cook it on mid flame without whistle. When almost water absorbed rice, cover it with cooker 's lid. But before cooked check it 2 or 3 times.
- If required add more water. After 5 min open the lid & mix khichdi with spechula. Before serve add coriander leaves & some hot ghee.
- This increase the taste of khichdi. Serve it with roasted papad curd & turnip pickle. Healthy,nutritious,tasty & some change lunch for all.
